Tips for developing a successful training program
Article Abstract:
Running a successful economic development training program presupposes, among other things, the existence of a well coordinated plan that emphasizes relevance and includes a way to measure results. Actual training sessions need to have interactive sessions to ascertain faster learning by participants, a variety of presenters and an abundance of training materials. Fees should be charged for the training sessions to ensure that participants realize their importance.

AEDC 2005: shaping a strategy for the 21st century

The American Economic Development Council has created the Preeminence Task Force to look into issues that would influence strategic planning in the 21st century. The body was tasked to review, evaluate and arrive at a consensus on the preferred goals of the members of the organization. Among the particular activities to be undertaken are critical issues analysis, strategic market analysis, scenario building and core strategy formulation.
