Worker protection policies in the new century
Article Abstract:
The US work force is likely to become more diverse and better educated, while services will grow and replace manufacturing employment. Public sector employment looks set to shrink. The labor market needs to be regulated if American aspirations and values are to be fostered. Labor law aims to protect the right to find work, and the ability of those in work to earn an acceptable income level. Labor law has been useful in achieving these aims, and is likely to continue to be useful.
