A spot of art searching
Article Abstract:
Head of visual arts at Goldsmiths College Nicholas de Ville remarks that contemporary art is not medium-specific while Michael Heindorff comments that there is certainly no house style at the Royal College of Art where he is senior tutor in painting. Joanna Greenhill of Central St Martin's College of Art has observed an enormous breath of practice among students. Her experience of German and Italian art schools leads her to believe that the teaching of fine art is better in the UK than elsewhere, a view shared by dean of fine arts at Chelsea College of Arts, Colin Cina.
