Cambridge University, England, Teaching and Research Fellow in the History of Chinese Medicine Elizabeth Hsu went to China to undertake a Chinese medical training course. She studied at Yunnan College, China, where she followed a course on acumoxa. She also worked with other Chinese practitioners in traditional Chinese medicine including a shop where the owner was a practitioner in 'qigong.' Whilst she was in China the 1989 student uprising occurred. Although Hsu has a Chinese father she had to learn the Chinese language during a student exchange. Her mother is Swiss.

Article Abstract:
Professor of Aviation Psychology and Human Factors Helen Muir recognizes the cost of safety is a very important factor for the aircraft industry. She has been working on the human factors involved in emergency incidents on aircraft. Many of her ideas on increasing safety in aircraft have been used by the industry. Muir is supported by the Civil Aviation Authority but she is clear she will not suppress the results of her research. Muir started to work with the aircraft industry following an accident at Manchester Airport, England, during 1985, when 55 passengers died.

The psychiatrist Anthony Clare believes that life is changing for men as their typical jobs are in decline and they are losing touch with fatherhood. He says that men's violence is more a result of nurture than nature.
