AUT poised to hold review of boycott
Article Abstract:
The Association of University Teachers (AUT) is expected to announce a special council to reconsider its decision to boycott Haifa and Bar-Ilan Universities in Israel following a backlash against the policy. Critics of the policy claim that no time was given to debate the proposal when it was put forward at the annual council meeting and that a number of AUT members had been unable to attend the meeting at which the proposal was passed as the meeting took place on the eve of Passover.
