Assembly will stir real change
Article Abstract:
An opponent of Welsh devolution argues that money would be better spent on funding public services such as education than on setting up and running a Welsh Assembly, but a pro-devolutionist believes that education will benefit from devolution. The pro-devolutionist argues that attitude and perception will change with the establishment of a Welsh Assembly, leading to a clearer definition of where Welsh responsibility lies. The anti-devolutionist maintains that a Welsh Assembly will demand ever greater powers and will assume powers currently held by colleges of higher education.

Reel fantasies, real crimes
Article Abstract:
An anti-pornography civil rights bill was drafted in 1983 to recognise how women are subordinated by pornography. Minneapolis city council approved the bill in December 1983, however, the road to success has been a hard one. The public hearings which supported the bill prior to its approval, included testimonies from a variety of victims of pornography, including former porn actress, Linda Lovelace. To date, the legislation has not gone further than Minneapolis.
