Article Abstract:
The city of Mostar has been divided by war. It was first attacked in 1992 by Chetnik forces, followed by Croatian separatists in 1993. East of the river Neretva, the city is in the process of being rebuilt, businesses are being reopened and work is being carried out on damaged buildings. The university was divided by recent events, and there are now only around 100 students in East Mostar, compared to 2,000 in the West.
