Bias blamed for pay gap
Article Abstract:
Nearly a quarter of the pay gap between female and male scientsts at UK universities is due to discrimination, according to research by Sara Connolly of the University of East Anglia's School of Economics. Findings suggest that 23 percent of the pay difference can not be explained by factors such as seniority, age, subject area of type of institution and is therefore down to discrimination.
