Black leadership in the twenty-first century
Article Abstract:
History teaches African American leaders the need for flexibility, imagination, and creativity in their attempt to solve the community's pressing issues because its future survival demands originality on the part all communities to thwart a potential cancer from metastasizing throughout the American landscape. African American leaders of the 21st century must find the resolve to finally remove from the nation's political discourse the contradictions between the American creed of freedom, justice, equality and a fair opportunity for all and the maintenance of a discriminatory society that prevents most African Americans from sharing in the creed.
