Teacher burnout: How to keep teachers
Article Abstract:
It is known that about 30% of the new teachers in the U.S. education system flee the profession after three years, and more than 45% leave after five. Poor administrative support, lack of influence within the school system, classroom intrusion, and inadequate time rather than low salary are cited as the main reasons for teachers leaving the profession halfway through their career.

School accountability: An alternative to testing
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the idea of school accountability revealed that the reliance on tests is harmful to accountability. A new model based on the sets of assumptions about school realities is presented which focuses on the needs of learners and the goals of having high expectations.
