Blair OKs Army to defend lab

Prime Minister Tony Blair has given his personal permission for the Army to help Oxford University in the construction of an UKPd18 mil animal research facility if animal rights activists make it impossible for builders to complete their work. The move by Blair comes despite fears that Cabinet members are resisting calls for Government intervention against animal rights extremists.
