An analysis of the rankings of universities and graduates contained in "The Times Good University Guide 2006". The tables reveal that Cambridge University dominates 5 of the 12 ranking categories, and that of the new universities, only one, Robert Gordon, ranks in the top 50.

Six universities will bring in a private firm to handle sensitive admissions work in order to increase recruitment from overseas students. Academics will still select students but all contact will be with staff employed by Hobsons.
