Article Abstract:
The work of Gavin Gillmore, senior lecturer in environmental science at Bradford University and a director of the Radon Council, the non-profit-making regulatory body of the radon industry, is examined. As part of his work Gillmore regularly visits caves to measure radon levels in them and as a result of his research believes that cavers should be more aware of the dangers that radon poses to their health and limit their visits to radon-rich caves and mines.
