Devaluing the human factor
Article Abstract:
Increasing scientific knowledge must not preclude the application of human values. Scientists wish to maintain their freedom to pursue scientific research but in the case of human cloning they should be restricted. Any criticism or threat to remove scientific freedom is accused of being an uninformed response. Restriction on research will not stop all scientific studies into related areas, such as embryology. To permit human cloning would remove the important human right of every person being unique.

Renaissance will follow reform in 21st century
Article Abstract:
Higher education reforms ae essential, with the principles and aims of higher education to be determined in the long-term to ensure it can adapt to the rapidly changing world. A two-tier higher education system cannot be maintained and higher education must become merit-based. The student body will in future become increasingly diverse and will have increasingly greater demands which will prove a challenge to teachers. Democracy can be reinforced through higher education reforms.
