The credit you spend as you learn; finding a funding formula that fits everyone's bill
Article Abstract:
The UK government published a list of the costs of teaching the same subject in different higher education institutions in 1993. The results were controversial. One way of simplifying the funding dilemma would be for students to earn academic credits and be able to 'spend' them in different institutions, some observers feel. A national project has been set up to look at the problems of credits in depth.
