Making sense of it all
Article Abstract:
Robin Carney, a former teacher at the Central Oklahoma Area Vocational Technical School who introduced a course named principles of technology, is the American Vocational Association's 1994 Outstanding New Vocational Teacher. The new course was really helpful in improving the quality of students' technical reports and promoting their job opportunities. Although she had to face some resistance from her colleagues in the beginning, her humility and her willingness to learn from others made her popular. Carney is now the school-to-work coordinator for Putnam City Schools.
