'I was no bully' says McKenna
Article Abstract:
Gerry McKenna, former vice-chancellor of Ulster University, has rejected claims of bullying and conducting university business while under the influence of alcohol, claiming that those who made these allegations may have misunderstood the side effects of his heart and ulcer problems. McKenna is currently on sabbatical from the university after stepping down as vice-chancellor in May 2005 but he is due to return to the post of president in August 2005 in order to promote the university internationally before retiring in 2006.
