An analysis of the results of a survey of the world's leading academics who were asked to identify the world's best universities in the fields in which they are active. Of the world's top 100 technology universities, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was identified as the best, followed by the University of California, Berkeley, in second and the Indian Institutes of Technology in third.

Beijing leads Asia's march to the forefront
Article Abstract:
An analysis of a table of the top 50 universities located outside Europe or North America and the standing of these universities in a table of the world's top 200 universities. Beijing University is the ranked as the world's best non-European/North American university, followed by Tokyo University and Melbourne University.
