OAPs lose home in fight with college
Article Abstract:
Eric and Ruth Beaumont have been forced to sell a bungalow that they built on land on land close to Edge Hill College in Ormskirk, Lancashire, after losing a court case against the college over the behavior of its students. The couple had sought an injunction against the college claiming "interference in the enjoyment of their property" but the case was rejected. Problems relating to student behavior in the UK are expected to grow as the student population rises.

Brunel pays out to settle race row
Article Abstract:
Brunel University has reached an out-of-court settlement with Harinder Bahra, former senior manager, who claims he is now blacklisted by universities nationally following his complaints of race discrimination. An employment tribunal ruled in 2005 that Harinder Bahra had been victimised by Brunel under race discrimination laws.
