Kicked out college turns up at Birkbeck
Article Abstract:
The Medical College of London (MCL), a private medical college forced out of business partnerships with King's College London and Greenwich University after questions were raised by the Times Higher Educational Supplement about its credentials, has been teaching on the campus of Birkbeck College, London, since Greenwich severed its ties with it in October 2003. Birkbeck confirmed that MCL had been using its facilities but stated that the agreement had simply been a standard classroom hire deal and that it had now expired.

Edexcel failures spark concern
Article Abstract:
The ability of Edexcel, an exam board, to deliver quality higher education has been called in to question as a result of an investigation by The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) which revealed that of the 12 departments found to be failing by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), nine were delivering Edexcel courses. The THES investigation discovered that QAA inspectors have judged 19 separate Edexcel courses in nine English colleges to be failing.
