Labour's student ambitions falter
Article Abstract:
Official figures show that the Government's drive to boost the number of university students is faltering, with 42 percent of 17 to 30-year olds in higher education in England in 2004-05, down by 0.3 percent vs 2003-04. The Labour Government's target is for half of all 18 to 30-year olds in England to be in higher education by 2010.
