Article Abstract:
The chief executive of the Royal Society of Chemistry argues that the time has come to roll the United Kingdom's four research councils into one national body that would be responsible for the fields of engineering and physical sciences, particle physics and astronomy, biotechnology and biological sciences, and the natural environment. He believes that such a move would be to the benefit of the entire science community in the UK.
