Media Use in Vocational-Technical Education: An Ongoing Evolution
Article Abstract:
While vocational education is enjoying a rebirth as a revitalized and technologically relevant alternative to the academic-general course in high schools and community-junior colleges, there exists a communications gap between voc-ed instructors and the school media specialists. In order to provide young people with the highest quality instruction, both groups must become familiar with each others' curriculum and instructional media. Therefore, an overview is presented of the agencies and companies that provide voc-ed with its media and curriculum as well as a discussion of vocational education's use of specific media.
