Medical college's claims under fire
Article Abstract:
The Trading Standards Service has been called in by the Department for Education and Skills to investigate the Medical College of London (MCL), a private medical college, after it was discovered that the college had made incorrect claims to have been "affiliated" with King's College London (KCL) and the University of Greenwich (UoG) and that it had wrongly cited Greenwich's Anson Building, on its Medway Maritime Campus in Kent, as its business address and HQ. Both KCL and UoG acknowledge that the have accepted payments from MCL for the provision of teaching, but they both insist that MCL has exaggerated its links to them without permission.

Medical college kicked off campus
Article Abstract:
Greenwich University has severed its ties with the Medical College of London (MCL), a private institution, after questions were raised about the latter's credentials. It has come to light that MCL is linked to Daniel Harrington, a US businessman who agreed a payout in 2000 to three students that he had signed up to medical degrees that were deemed by Hardy Myers, the attorney-general of Oregon, to be "worthless". Solicitors for MCL claim that the college offers "recognised medical qualifications"
