Martian visitors killed our dog
Article Abstract:
A scientific meeting about the hydrothermal ecosystems on Earth and possibility of similar systems existing on Mars was held at the Ciba Foundation, London, United Kingdom. Meteorites from Mars are not infrequent, although it is unlikely that a very large one from Mars would send Earth out of orbit, because of Earth's relative mass in relation to Mars. A dog was killed by a falling meteorite during 1911, in Egypt.

The ascent of man's ignorance
Article Abstract:
School students in some US states are being taught that man did not evolve from the process of natural selection. They are taught other theories like 'intelligent design theory' and 'abrupt appearance theory.' These theories are called creationism. One argument against these theories is that most lifeforms contain some material they do not need, which disproves the intelligent design theory.
