'Our voice is lost in their past glories'
Article Abstract:
An MSc student at the London School of Economics argues that students today are just as political radical and as likely to stage large protest as students in the 1960s and 1970s, it is just that the newspapers no longer bother to report these protests. It is contended that those who once took part in protests in the '60s and '70s are now merely content to complain that students are not what they used to be and look back on the past with a sense of smug satisfaction.

'We were not all Migs or Swerps'
Article Abstract:
The reader in history at the University of Southampton argues that university lecturers are now more likely to be politically radical than students. It is conceded that today's students are more aware than previous generations of the likelihood that no matter how much they protest, nothing will change, however, it is argued that they must stand up and fight for what they believe if the world they inherit is not to be hellish.
