Repair bill may drive Swansea from home
Article Abstract:
Swansea University is considering relocating to Llanelli as a result of a report produced by consultants Actium Consult which revealed that the university's current campus is to small to allow future growth and requires UKPd32 million worth of emergency maintenance and repairs. Senior officials at the university noted that while they would prefer to redevelop existing sites, they would consider moving if it were to be the best option for staff and students.

Science institute faces delays
Article Abstract:
The Ministry of Education in Botswana has confirmed that the country's second university, due to open in 2007, will not now be completed until 2009 at the earliest. The second university is intended as a world-class research institute and magnet for students and staff from throughout Africa and beyond.

Elisabeth Gehrer, Austrian Education Minister, is facing criticism for a decision to create an elite university on a former psychiatric hospital site used by Nazis to conduct acts of 'euthanasia'. Despite the site's past, it has been selected to house the new elite university.
