The culture war as metaphor: the need for political involvement
Article Abstract:
Many observers believe that the US is experiencing a bitter cultural war. Religious conservatives are unable to see that the dilemma they face is not a new one because they have been seduced by the idea that everything has changed in the 20th century as a result of a new cultural war of which they are the key victims.
