The importance of teacher-student relationships for adolescents with high incidence disabilities
Article Abstract:
The theoretical and empirical basis of teacher-student relationships on adolescent mental health and social-emotional functioning is examined. It is observed that teacher beliefs, actions and practices are the foundation of positive teacher-student relationships that have powerful and lasting effects on the lives of youth with high-incidence disabilities.
