Samuel Huntington's thesis regarding the clash of civilizations is used to analyze the news media to better shape its coverage of world events. The conclusion made was that the theory of the clash of civilizations could provide a framework for policymakers and journalists to understand the Middle East.

The Taliban theocracy: changing Iraq
Article Abstract:
The United States' recommendation of a secular civil society as the only option to the Taliban government is questionable. The effective way to respond to such a theocracy would be to blend mild, flexible religious factors into the civil society everyone is trying to build.
