University technology transfer in the UK, through spin-offs and licensing, is showings signs of being a great success. The only failure that UK universities have exhibited is that they failed to engage in serious activity until the late-1990s but, with the help of a variety of government incentives, UK universities are fast making up ground on their US counterparts.

Deliver pay deal, union warns
Article Abstract:
The Association of University Teachers plans to name and shame universities that it believes have been slow in implementing the the new pay framework for academics. The move comes as a result of growing frustration that the majority of staff are still to benefit from the deal, agreed upon a year ago by unions and employers.
