Using Media: Computer Literacy
Article Abstract:
Control Data Corporation developed PLATO, a computer-based educational system in cooperation with the University of Illinois. A new series, PLATO Computer Literacy Series, contains twenty-two topics which are really short courses that can be used to develop a computer literacy training program. Their puppose is to help users lessen computer anxiety, to become informed about computers and related products, to develop basic technological skills, and to understand career implications and other possibilities. These programs, which are listed and described, are available on Control Data micros, Apple and other micros.
