Yo! Get ur bard on!
Article Abstract:
Classics lecturer Henry Biggs, assistant dean and academic coordinator of the College of Arts and Sciences at Washington University, takes to the stage in his spare time in the guise of rapper Headmess. Biggs, who states that the seed of his rapping career came from a discussion of Homer at an academic seminar where he began to see the Greek bard as a proto-rapper, believes that rap is a very powerful artform, allowing an artist to deliver more words than in any other form of music.
