Aiwa's TP-S70, TP-S50 cassette recorders

Aiwa has introduced the TP-S70 and the TP-S50 cassette recorders that can record continuously for 19 hours using alkaline batteries. Both models come with a 50mm speaker, a recording indicator and a replay-speed adjustment function. Mechanical noise during recording is eliminated through a clear recording function. The TP-S70 also incorporates a triple- recording mode and the Voice Zoom Recording System and sells for 6,000 yen or $55.56. On the other hand, the TP-S50 has a retail price of 5,500 yen or $50.93.

Kenwood finds way to replay original MP3 quality
Article Abstract:
Kenwood Corp has developed a technology that allows playback of MP3 songs in quality close to that of the original source. The technology, called Supreme Drive, interpolates lost signals from the compresed data to recreate the harmonics by analyzing the correlation of existing music data. The technique works with FM broadcasts and with digital satellite broadcasts.
