Communications trends buoy optical measurements
Article Abstract:
The global demand for optical measuring instruments is expected to surge during and beyond 1999 due to the strong growth in the optical communications market. Analysts speculate that output of optical measuring instruments in 1998 totalled 17.2 billion yen, up 13.2% from the production in 1997. Globally, the market for optical measuring instruments is predicted to grow 5% annually.
