Crystal device output turns in stellar performance
Article Abstract:
The production of crystal devices in Japan continued with its remarkable performance. The trend is attributed to the increasing use of personal computers and cellular telephones. Also noteworthy are the gains exhibited in the industrial-use crystal oscillators and crystal units, which rose by 77.1% in volume in Aug 1999 compared to the same month in 1998. Figures gathered by the Quartz Crystal Industry Assn of Japan also indicate a recovery in the price of quartz crystals.
