During transition, Teac answers both analog, digital demands

Teac will display several digital broadcating audio equipment under the Tascam brand at the NAB '99 annual trade show. The company is selling in the US the DA88, the DA38 and the DA98 recorder models, which all use Hi-8 8mm tapes. Teac has also introduced the DA40 digital audiotape recorder for broadcast stations and the DA302 double-cassette model with swift copying functions. It has also started selling the MMR-8 eight-track recording and playback model, which can link up to 100 console mixers.

Teac's US-428 USB DAW controller
Article Abstract:
Teac has introduced the US-428 Universal Serial Bus digital audio workstation controller for PC-based MIDI sequencers and recorders. Users an use the US-428 in mixer section and recorder control section operations that are usually done with a keyboard and a display device. Audio inputs include analog inputs for micro level, line level and high impedance inputs as well as two-channel digital inputs. The outputs can be used for analog and digital circuits.
