De La Rue Card Systems is preparint itself to such new technologies as the Java SIM card, the combined and double interface card, or the contactless card. The English group wants to be the leader in cost terms thanks to its Chrysalide technology, which allows to produce cheap and safe smart cards in only four steps, at prices 40-60% below those obtained through the conventional techniques.
