Workers at Cleco, Pineville, LA, underwent what is perhaps the most terrifying and frustrating experience in their life, when a tornado hit their facility on Feb 26 1998. Although the disaster rendered Cleco's dispatching system completely wrecked, no crews were hurt during the event.

Superconductors have evolved as one of the most useful electronic devices since they were discovered in 1911. Although attempts of utilizing them in substation functions have yet been realized, superconductors are recently employed as transformers and energy-storage devices.
