High-tech toys dominate 1999 toy fair

The latest lines of toys and high-tech entertainment systems were introduced by manufacturers at the 1999 International Toy Fair in New York. Among the new products are Oregon Scientific's Princess Cleo Talking Laptop Computers, VTEch's e-mail enable E-Power electronic learning aid, Intel Play's X3 Microscope and Me2Cam, and Playmates' Real Game Hunting line of sporting goods for kids.

Computer accessories manufacturers have launched their latest product lines. KYE International introduced the Genius Netmouse Pro and the Genius Newscroll while Memorex offered its Internet Scrolling Mouse. Other new entries include Belkin Components' F8E206-USA plug-and-play keyboard, Logitech's Internet Keyboard which features 17 dedicated buttons for Internet accessing and browsing, Advent's AV180 15-watt two-piece sound system, Genius ColorPage-Vivid Pro II single-pass 36-bit color flatbed scanner and Genius' WizardPad 5"x4" wireless tablet and pen for drawing, painting and sketching images into a computer.
