The International Funkaussetellung (IFA) was held in Berlin, Germany, on Aug 25 - Sep3, 1999. The exhibit featured the latest consumer electronic products designed for the European market. Among the featured products were Thomson Electronics' TAK-enabled interactive TVs with built-in 56K modems, Philips' DVD+RW video recorders, Nokia's prototype MediaScreen portable TV/PC/telephony device and Sony's MZ-R90 MiniDisc, which is the world's smallest.
