Japanese suppliers eye China's budding broadcast market

At the BIRTV 2004, China revealed its plans for the promotion of high-definition TV (HDTV), which it plans to use in the production and transmission of broadcasts of the Beijing Olympics 2008. Around 390 participants and 50,000 visitors attended the trade show. The display by various companies of the electronics industry is discussed.

The latest changes in the electronics industry were evident at the Beijing International radio, Television & Film Equipment Exhibition. China is switching over to digital transmission from analog. Japanese manufacturers concentrated on state-of-the-art digital broadcasting equipment.
