Philadelphia Electric Co. constructed a static frequency converter facility to answer the electricity needs of a customer and accommodate railway operations of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. Procedures and required data are described.

Foundation erosion impeded in new way
Article Abstract:
A procedure using bank stabilization was employed by Dayton Power and Light Co. when several transmission-tower foundations were threatened with erosion. The technique proved to be environmentally sound, and the cost was less than $20,000.
