New techniques improve field analysis of wood-pole condition
Article Abstract:
Utility engineers at Nyseg and Hydro-Quebec are searching for new and improved methods of wood-pole evaluation. Nyseg developed Pole Calc, a software that calculates the remaining life of wood-poles while Quebec is probing the use of x-rays and electrical resistance in measurement methods.
