IMEC-ASML present 193 nm results
Article Abstract:
The Inter-University Microelectronics Centre (IMEC) of Leuven, Belgium, and ASM Lithography of Veldhoven, the Netherlands, have revealed results on 193 nm lithography processing, indicating the technology's imaging capabilities for 100 nm R&D. The process is expected to be operational in the first half of 1999 to provide insights to IC manufacturers. The four- tiered 193 nm process development project also involves a consortium of companies that will later incorporate the technology in their fabrication plants.
