Vibration-free VRDS-25xs CD players
Article Abstract:
Teac Corp of Japan has introduced the VRDS-25xs CD player in 1999. The CD player is able to resist vibrations because of its all-in-one structure that includes an 8mm-thick 8kg steel board for the bottom chassis and a heavy casting iron pipoint insulator for the legs. Its other features include a digital servo ratio locked loop circuit to decrease audible band jitter and the ZDII distortion shaper for optimum conversion steps by dither signals. It sells for $1.983.

DPC-391 (KT) portable CD players
Article Abstract:
Kenwood Corp of Japan has introduced a portable CD player for children in 1999. The DPC-391 CD player features the popular Hello Kitty design on the body and a three-key remote control for easy operation. It is also equipped with the company's digital anti-shock circuit to prevent sound skips. Its other features include an automatic power-off function, three- mode repeat playing and 24-piece program playback. It sells for $119.
