Sony grooms SVM as Asian design, production center
Article Abstract:
Sony Video Malaysia (SVM) is Sony's biggest VCR manufacturing facility in Asia, and produces all the VCRs under the Sony brand sold in Japan, Middle East, North and South America. SVM also focuses on the production of VCR mechanisms and would start building Hi-Fi VCRs and karaoke VCRs by 2000.
