Article Abstract:
NEC Corp has unveiled the NL128102AC28-07 18.1-in thin-film transistor color LCD that generates 1,280x1,024 pixels and offers horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 170 degrees. The LCD comes with an integrated driver and controller IC, and features improved pixel electrode arrangement for reducing color shifting at varying viewing angles. The LCD has a response speed of 30mm/s through its use of low-viscosity LC material.

RDT180S, RDT1503 TFT LCDs

Mitsubishi Electric Corp of Japan has introduced two new thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors in 1999. Both the 18.1-in RDT180S and 15-in RDT1503 TFT LCDs incorporate an ASIC and feature automatic frequency adjustment and image centering funtions. The RDT180S, which sells for $3,948, is designed to handle SXGA image modes, while the RDT1503, which sells for $1,190, handles XGA modes.
