With mixers, MO recorder, Yamaha takes aim at broadcast market
Article Abstract:
Yamaha will display console digital mixers and an optical disc recorder that uses 3.5-in MOs at the NAB '99 annual trade show. The console mixer models to be displayed are the O2R, the O3D and the O1V. The O2R is Yamaha's most-advanced mixer model with 24 analog and 16 digital channel inputs for a total of 40 channel inputs and eight bus outputs. On the other hand, the O3D features a 26-channel input function while the O1V is for use in private studios.

Digital monitoring recorder features 13GB drive, time-division

Hitachi Ltd is launching a new product called the DSH10 in Jan 2000. The product is a digital monitoring recorder with a 13GB hard disc that uses frameswitching to record images from eight cameras. Its features include a JPEG compression system for extremely reliable recording operations and excellent picture quality, a time-division search function, time-date search capabilities and a speeded-up alarm function. The product sells for 600,000 yen.

TA120E digital jitter meter
Article Abstract:
Yokogawa Electric Corp has introduced the TA120E digital jitter meter which measures jitter of DVDs, CDs and DVD-RAMs and wobble signal jitter of rewritable CDs. The TA120E is based on the TA120 jitter meter but also includes a bi-phase jitter measurign function and a level measuring function. The model makes more precise measurements than analog models and can measure pre-pits in DVD-RAMs.
