A response to "Measuring the Land"
Article Abstract:
A response, which outlines a method for calibrating measurements of the land (geodesy) and providing traceability of those measurements to national standards, is presented. Phil Painchaud, a founding member of ASQ's(American Society of Quality) Measurement Quality Division and one of the division's experts in metrology education wrote this response.

How to write an uncertainty budget

Uncertainty budget, usually in tabular form, shows how the various influence quantities join to make up a statement of the total uncertainty of a measurement or calibration. It is necessary to follow some simple guidelines in writing an uncertainty budget.
